Some of these tracks are stripped down versions of the album « Eight Different Types of Dream ». It’s, in a way, the first draft of this project (which became something quite different : a journey in the realm of dreams with textures, melodies, noises and saturation).
 Even if I do not practice, I first imagined this music for yoga classes ; however people concerned explained to me it may be inappropriate ; the calm, the quietness, the space emanating from this music being more ambiguous than a simple feeling of relaxation or meditation, and maybe closer to a sense of loneliness and isolation : an exercise in solitude. But sometimes depression or melancholy are doors to awareness…
Little happens in these pieces, the idea being to toy with only the few necessary musical elements, each repetitive pattern sounding alike but never completely : always the same but always different. Then the listeners can drift to undetermined shores and worlds of their own.
But, like when we create our own bubble to regain strength to affront the world, then may appear a profound aloneness, the opposite of loneliness in a way : a presence to everything.
It may be the teachings of this exercise in solitude, who knows ?
An infinite sadness for what is no more,
a submission to what may happen,
a sentiment of attention and acceptance of what is.
